One of the largest telecommunications companies on the German market that provides its customers with cable TV, the Internet and terrestrial and mobile telephony services through the extensive network of partners and sales representatives.

 

In terms of selling the products and services, the Customer works closely with a group of several thousand sales representatives and business partners. There is no uniform relationship management platform with an important group of business people, and as a result it required to engage a large amount of human resources, subject to human errors at the same time.

OUR SOLUTION

Together with our customer representatives, our analysts and designers defined all aspects of ongoing business relationships. The project included dynamic formation of hierarchical sales structures, recruitment, training, communication processes, formation and sharing personalized commercial documents and in a later phase, defining and settling wages. The Customer's staff cannot effectively use advanced sales management techniques available in Magento. The Customer does not have a permanent partner to provide technical support within Magento or web server.

The performance of on-line store server is insufficient in a period of increased viewing and is characterized with high instability. Retail customers benefit from the on-line store. Support for distributors is provided by e-mail communication.

 

In order to place orders, the distributors as well as retail customers should use the on-line store. The placed orders should automatically be transferred to the ERP system integrated with on-line sales.

OUR SOLUTION

Firstly, due to the start of an increased sales season, rapid reconfiguration of necessary Magento settings was executed. In order to support the Customer, experienced Magento engineer was dedicated, ready to support the Customer 24 hours/day. In order to execute the audit of performance productivity of the web server, an experienced administrator was appointed. A series of tests under high load and configuration changes eliminated the bottleneck.

 

A series of advanced training sessions for the staff in configuration and management of Magento were organised and conducted. The testing development environment for the new server has been started. A new store in the existing Magento instance was started with the intention off supporting the wholesale customers. The store for distributors received a new, other than for the retailers, layout. The customer was guaranteed with SLA support.

A large group of own and outsourced IT professionals, complexity of the project structures and a dynamic change of the teams cause significant difficulties in identifying individual responsibilities.

OUR SOLUTION

The Customer defined its needs and submitted the project documentation. The target system has to use simple directory application with the options of communicating and generating organizational charts in PDF format. The entire development works were executed by an experienced Java EE programmer cooperating directly with the Customer within the project.
